Living Documents

We produce original research and bespoke public programming by guiding collaborations among cultural organizations, artists, galleries, and technologists.

Living Documents is a research advisory grounded in a desire to expand the public visibility of artists’ work and institutional archives and collections. We aim to bring these indispensable ideas and materials to life through accessible, legible, and dynamic experiences in both digital and physical spaces.

We collaborate closely with our clients to align their core values, missions, and creative visions, then guide their engagement with emerging technologies to connect with wider audiences and inspire greater recognition of their rich holdings.

Living Documents draws on founder Jeanne Dreskin’s doctoral training in art history and 15 years of experience in museums, higher education, and the tech industry to bridge multi-perspectival historical narratives with new, exploratory futures. Our methodology is fundamentally interdisciplinary, uniting best practices across digital humanities, curatorial research, archival and collections management, and copyright licensing.
